I wrote you a mushy get-to-know-me letter…
but nobody has that kind of attention span these days, so I added photos — including a peek at the books I’ve written! (One’s a bit sad though!) Here goes… 👇️
Hi, I’m Vera.
I’m a writer living on the Oregon coast and The Funnel Edit is my amazing little marketing business.
And, honestly, marketing is just the thing I do to keep the things I actually love afloat. (Reading, writing, loving my two dogs, and doing my best to single-handedly keep coastal coffee culture alive.)
I have a chronic illness, so time is really precious to me.
I also love my dogs and want to spend all the time in the world with them. (This one is Daisy Mae. She’s a big dog, and nothing will ever convince her otherwise.)
I got sick, for almost an entire year. I got cheated on. I got laid off. I lost a very dear friend. It was everything in waves, all at once. (And that was after already healing from the topic of my second book.)
I genuinely couldn’t function. I lost my livelihood, my home, and a lot of sleep and precious time as a result. And… in the healing process I was afraid would never end… I learned.
Frankly, if I don’t see a good reason for doing something, I’m not going to waste my ‘one wild and precious life’ doing it. The funnel edits I help my clients make aren’t just a marketing solution in my eyes. What I do is insurance for real people who rely on their businesses in order to get through life.
(They’re also what I do to keep my books reaching new readers even though having to market them is the bane of my author-ly existence.)
I built this business from a guest bedroom at 30 years old… living on food stamps and electrolytes without a job or a car… because when shit it the fan in my personal life, my business wasn’t prepared.
The way I approach marketing is smart and effective, but it’s also a safety net and a way of continuing to reach new clients and customers regardless of your availability. Being able to give that to others is what keeps me coming back to this desk every day to do my job. I hope you never need it the way I have, but if you do, I want your Pinterest marketing funnel (and thriving email list) to be there, already working and having proven itself in the background for you day after day.
When things are good, I want the funnels we build to be quietly making them even better! And if things get hard, I want you and your business to be okay because of what we’ve created. That’s what The Funnel Edit is all about, and that’s why I hope you’ll make the decision to work with me!
Warmly from my favorite coastal forest,
Vera
